Stress Tests Methodology
Overview
Stress tests replay one short, fixed situation through each plan's rules. Every amount is scaled to the plan's own profit target or drawdown, so a 50K and a 150K plan face the same situation. Each result is Pass, Careful or Fail, with a sentence explaining why. They show the rules in action on every plan page and are not part of the PropBench Score, because the score already counts the same rules through Cost and Rules.
The Tests
| Test | Script |
|---|---|
| The Big Day | You make 60% of the profit target in one day, then small steady days. |
| The Giveback | Open profit runs up to 80% of your drawdown, you close almost flat, then lose 75% the next day. |
| FOMC Day | You trade through a scheduled major news release. |
| The Slow Grind | You make 4% of the target every single day. How long until money hits your bank? |
| Overnight Hold | You hold a position past the session close. |
| One Rough Day | You lose half your max drawdown in a single session. |
Outcomes
- Pass: the plan handles the situation without extra cost or delay.
- Careful: the account survives, but a rule slows you down or stops trading for the day.
- Fail: the account is lost, the action breaks a rule, or the rule blocks the goal entirely.
